Free Money for Making Reservations

Hello Everyone,

You all know how much your Discount Queen loves to save money, but I love earning FREE money even more.

One of my favorite things to do is to dine out with friends or family. However, before I just show up at a restaurant I always check OpenTable, first. This site lets you make reservations for free at 1000’s of restaurants around the USA.

Every time you make a reservation you will earn 100 points. There are some restaurants that reward you with 1000 points if you dine during their “off times.”

Once you earn 2000 points you are able to exchange your points for $20 dining certificate. However, you don’t have to redeem the points for the certificate when you get to 2000 points. You can let them keep accumulating. 4000 points are $40, 5000 points are $50, and so on.

This is a wonderful and FREE way to earn FREE money.  How could anyone turn their back on this wonderful opportunity.  So, next time you are looking to dine out, make sure to make  reservation via OpenTable, first.

Today ONLY Groupon Deal White House Anaheim

Standard

Thanks to a special deal from Groupon you can dine at the world renowned White House Restaurant at a fraction of the normal cost.

This classy restaurant is normally *very* expensive, but for today only through Groupon you can purchase a five-course dinner for two for ONLY $127.00.  Normally, this dinner would cost $250.00 without the Groupon.

This is a hot deal, and should not be passed up.  If you purchase the Groupon today it can be used anytime up to 180 days from the date of purchase.

According to Groupon’s site the Anaheim White House—is even popular with presidents. Jimmy Carter has enjoyed the California restaurant’s Italian food and steaks, as has Danny De Vito. (Even Madonna has feasted on their catering.)

Below, some highlights of the A-list restaurant:

Historic location: A mansion originally built in 1909, the structure has undergone renovations since then, but certain details, like the main dining room’s brick fireplace, remain intact after more than a century.

Dining Rooms: 12 in total, named after White House icons like Ronald Reagan and the West Wing. Some are bedecked in murals worthy of the Sistine Chapel; all of them can be reserved for private dinners.

Cuisine: An assortment of Italian dishes, like linguine with clams, along with Wagyu steaks and unconventional creations. The most unconventional of all? The New York Times-endorsed steamed salmon with white chocolate mashed potatoes.

Chef Bruno Serato emigrated here with $200 from Verona, Italy. When he got here, he worked his way up from lowly server to innovative chef.

Charity work: Serato makes a point of feeding homeless children, given his own humble beginnings, and he’s won awards for his commitment to the cause. More importantly, he’s fed one million children with his efforts through his Caterina’s Club foundation.

So, be sure to go to Groupon NOW before it’s too late to purchase this great deal!

Plus-Size Gals Rejoice with Gwynnie Bee

Standard

This post is for all plus-size ladies. I feel your pain when it comes to shopping for stylish looking outfits in extended sizes. First of all, many stores still carry styles that look like they could be used as drapes or tablecloths when not being worn. Secondly, many of the stores that carry plus-sized clothing “hide” the department up on the second or third floor in a back corner, as if extended-size clothing was something illegal like heroin or cocaine. Lastly, some of the manufacturers say the clothing is “plus-sized,” but the clothing is not cut correctly and is really “skinny” clothing with more flow.

Thanks to Gywynnie Bee plus-size ladies who wear from sizes 10-32 can all rejoice. Now you can rent gorgeous and stylish outfits for reasonable prices every month. Plus, if you love the outfit you can purchase it at a discount!!  Right now Gwynnie Bee is offering a 30-days for FREE. You can choose the 1, 2, or 3 piece plan, and get this plan for FREE for 30-days. There is NO OBLIGATION and you can cancel (very easily) online, if you decide not to continue.

Go to Gwynnie Bee NOW to check out all the great clothing options and sign-up NOW!  You have nothing to lose.  So, don’t delay. The FREE 30-day trial is a limited time offer. Go to Gwynnie Bee right NOW.

Go Out and Have FUN for Le$$ Money

Standard

I don’t know about you, but the Discount Queen LOVES to go out and have fun.  Having new experiences makes life more interesting, but going out shouldn’t mean choosing between a fun night out and making your car payment or light bill.  There are many ways to go out and experience things like a restaurant you’ve never been too, some pampering, like a massage, or even seeing a live show without causing your wallet to cry the “I’m so Broke I Could Cry” blues.

Here are a few ways to go out and have fun without spending tons of money:

Join Restaurant.com.  This site lets you purchase gift certificates to participating restaurants in amounts of $10, $25, $50, or $100 at a fraction of that cost. The “normal” price is usually $10 for a $25 gift certificate.  **HOWEVER** I highly suggest joining their site (it’s FREE), and getting on their mailing list.  You will then be notified when the company is offering sale on their certificates.  Typically the sale price is $4 for a $25 certificate, but I have seen them goes as low as $2 for a $25 certificate. This is when you LOAD up on certificates. They are good FOREVER, they can be EXCHANGED for different restaurants, and if a location goes out of business or stops taking certificates, the company will notify you so you can choose another restaurant. This is a wonderful way to check out a place you’ve been dying to visit, but didn’t want to risk paying full price for the “unknown.”  Go to http://www.restaurant.com to learn more and explore all the restaurants in your area.

If you want to do more than just eat out, there are many sites that offer exciting options at a discount. Many of these sites offer discounts of 50% or more for activities like like shows, massages (and other forms of pampering), comedy, and of course dining out. Two of my favorite sites to check for discounts is Groupon and Living Social. However, to save yourself some time and to compare the best deal I highly suggest signing up for Yipit.com.  Yipit searches multiple discount sites to find the best deals in your area on a plethora of activities.

My final suggestion for locating things to do at a major discount is Goldstar EventsGoldstar offers tickets to stage shows like Oz, Rent, Book of Mormon, and many others at up to 50% off. They also offer tickets to music productions, comedy shows, tribute bands, and so much more.  Be sure to check out Goldstar to explore all the fun you could be having in your own area for LE$$ money.

Get FREE Money by Making Dinner Reservations

Standard

I consider myself the Discount Queen, but I still LOVE to eat out.  I will post in a future blog how to eat out for less, but right now this post is how to earn FREE money just by making a dinner reservation.

There is a free online reservation service called OpenTable.  Every time you make a reservation and show up for that reservation you earn 100 points. Once you reach 2000 points you are eligible to redeem your points for a $20 gift card good towards a dinner at the location of a participating merchant. However, you do NOT have to redeem your points once you reach 2000 points. You can wait to reach 5000 points for a $50 gift or 10,000 points for a $100 gift.

You can even accumulate points quicker by dining at what is known as “1000 point” restaurants.  There are restaurants that will reward you with 1000 points for your reservation, if you dine during designated and very specific days and times. If you are flexible with your days and times to dine out you could accumulate 2000 points in just 2 meals.

Again, OpenTable is a FREE service.  If you are planning to dine out, you should check to see if the restaurant you plan to visit is listed on OpenTable.  If they are, this is a great way to earn points toward a FREE $20, $50, or even $100 gift card to visit a restaurant you may have wanted to try, but didn’t want to spend the money to check out.

Go to http://www.opentable.com to learn more and to sign up for your free account.
